You may also need to repeat this process if the stain remains. To erase dark coffee stains, make a paste of three parts baking soda to one part water. Rub on with a damp sponge, then rinse off.

- To clean a spill, mix 8tbsps of hydrogen peroxide with 2tbsps of baking soda in a small bowl.
